I right click on them when I am low enough for them to accept. And they just clean an area. I don't gain any Cobble Stone. The Woodcutters are neet that they remove the Leaves. But Miners seem useless.

I think it is because its slightly bugged and when the miner "clears" an area he gets stuck behind the fence/workbench that he plants and you have to push him out from there and then he starts waving his arm around and collects stone.

Also it can be because the area he cleared is behind a wall.. so if it looks like hes trying to walk into a wall.. just dig through one or two blocks and you should find the clearing.

The cobblestone will be dropped on top of you wherever you are (within about a 100 block radius) and it will appear in your inventory. I have timed it and it seems to be about 1 stone every 10 seconds. Obviously if you hire more workers then it will be more. I would hire about 5-6 to begin with but also dont forget that outside the kingdom walls on the north side is a quarry and a lumber building where you can hire workers and the difference here is that the collected materials stay in the foremans inventory until you collect them so instead of hiring the normal workers and then digging down deep enough to place them I would use the quarry workers because its easier and also, when you repair or upgrade your kingdom the normal workers stop working and you have to go find them again. If you have left them UNDER your kingdom then they will be also buried.. so make note of the spot where you dug.

Good luck!
